2021 marks the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on U.S. soil. Apple TV+ and the BBC will commemorate the date with a new documentary narrated by actor Jeff Daniels.

“9/11: Inside the President’s War Room” aims to offer the definitive timeline as to exactly what happened to President George W. Bush over the course of 12 hours in what had to be the longest day of his presidency.

Daniels starred as FBI agent John O’Neill in Hulu’s drama series “The Looming Tower,” based on Lawrence Wright’s book about the intelligence failures in the years that led up to 9/11. He won an Emmy for starring in HBO’s “The Newsroom,” starred as James Comey in the Showtime miniseries “The Comey Rule” and Harry Dunne in “Dumb and Dumber.”

In addition to archive footage from that fateful day, “9/11: Inside the President’s War Room” will feature nearly 200 never-before-published photographs taken of President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney.

In addition to Bush and Cheney, the documentary will include new interviews with Condoleezza Rice (national security adviser), Colin Powell (secretary of state), Andy Card (chief of staff), Dan Bartlett (director of communications), Rear Adm. Deborah Loewer (head of the Situation Room), Josh Bolten (deputy chief of staff), Ari Fleischer (press secretary), Karl Rove (senior adviser to the president), Mary Matalin (adviser to Cheney), Karen Hughes (special adviser to the president), Mike Morell (CIA briefer), Ted Olson (solicitor general), Col. Mark Tillman (Air Force One pilot), and David Wilkinson and Tony Zotto (Secret Service).

Apple TV+ is a $4.99/month premium streaming service from Apple. In addition to apps for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV, the service can be streamed via smart TVs from Samsung, LG, Sony, Vizio, TCL and others. In addition, Apple makes an Apple TV+ app available on Roku and Amazon Fire TV devices, Chromecast with Google TV, PlayStation and Xbox gaming consoles.
