Whether you’re buying necessities or splurging on something fun, shopping is so much easier when great deals lower the totals on your receipts.

That’s why military families love the following retailers that offer deals and discounts exclusively for them. Keep in mind that some stores offer military discounts online and require verification of your military status, while others are only in-store discounts redeemed by presenting a military ID. Happy shopping!

Costco

This membership warehouse club has just about everything you could possibly need. From groceries to furniture to pharmacy items, Costco is perfect for one-stop shopping. And if you’re an active-duty military member, a Reservist or National Guard, a veteran, a military family member or a Gold Star family, you can get a $40 digital Costco Shop Card by joining Costco as a new Executive Member and enrolling in auto renewal of your annual membership. New Gold Star Members get a $20 digital Costco Shop Card.

Home Depot and Lowe’s

Whether you prefer Home Depot or Lowe’s for your home and garden needs, you’re in luck because both offer a 10% military discount every day. You can use these discounts online and in-store, but be aware that both stores require you to complete online verification of your military status before shopping. They also may have restrictions on eligible items, so be sure to read the fine print on what qualifies for the discounts.

Kohl’s

Kohl’s is a popular destination when shopping for clothes, shoes, jewelry and accessories, home and bedding, toys and more. And active-duty military members, veterans and their immediate families get a 15% discount on qualifying purchases made on Mondays. This discount is available in stores only.

Michaels

If you’re looking for art supplies, custom framing or holiday home decor, Michaels is the place to go. Get a 15% military discount both online and in stores every day after registering through your Michaels Rewards account.

DEVIL-DOG Dungarees

With a long history of supporting the military, DEVIL-DOG Dungarees sells jeans, shirts and other casual pants for men. They offer a 20% military discount off your entire purchase online after verification.

Kirkland’s

Kirkland’s has a wide variety of home decor, from rugs and curtains, to bed and bath, to kitchen and dining. Shop in-store and get a 10% military discount on all purchases with a military ID every day. This deal can even be applied with other promotions and discounts.

Target

Military shoppers love Target’s annual 10% military discount for Veterans Day. And while Target doesn’t offer a year-round discount, it does offer a special deal when you get its credit card. Get $50 when you’re approved for a Target Circle credit, debit or reloadable card and spend $50. Plus save an extra 5% every day.
