As we all wait for America to reopen, things are getting back to normal in the rest of the world. Tom Cruise is hard at work making "Mission: Impossible 7" in Norway.

We know this because some incredibly excited Norwegians encountered Tom and the movie's crew riding on top of a train in the countryside. They saw the cameras, realized that the guy sitting on the edge of the roof was a world-class action star, and proceeded to lose their minds as they zoomed in on our hero.

Devoted "Mission: Impossible" fans are sure to point out that Cruise and writer/director Christopher McQuarrie decided to make the seventh and eighth movies in the series back-to-back. There's a reasonable chance that whatever they're doing on that train won't be in the next movie ("M:I 7," scheduled for release Nov. 18, 2021), and we'll have to wait for its scheduled sequel ("M:I 8," Nov. 4, 2022).

Some interesting questions arise. The first "Mission: Impossible" movie featured one of the best movie train fights of all time.

Not to mention that train fights are practically baked into the DNA of feature films. 1903's "The Great Train Robbery," widely credited as the first narrative motion picture, features a world-class fight scene on top of a train.

Plus there's the incredible train sequence that opens 2012's James Bond classic "Skyfall."

We know that Cruise (who still insists on doing his own stunts at age 58) and McQuarrie have devoted incredible time and effort to the outstanding action sequences in "Mission: Impossible -- Rogue Nation" and "Mission: Impossible -- Fallout."

They've upped the ante with each release, so it's curious that they're revisiting an action sequence that has already been executed so flawlessly in a "Mission: Impossible" movie. The fact that they've chosen to climb on top of a train again in 2020 suggests that they have something really spectacular up their sleeves.

Think about that while we're all patiently waiting for theaters to feature new releases (hopefully next year) and, most importantly, for the release of "Top Gun: Maverick" on June 26, 2020.
