The Game Awards Players' Voice nominees have been announced, and Megabonk has made a triumph return to the ceremony through it. However, the competition will be steep, as The Game Awards put 30 different games in the nominees list for fans to choose from.
The Game Awards are an annual ceremony that gamers and developers both look forward to. The ceremony gives awards to new games and continuing games, and also serves as a platform to reveal new games and sneak peeks every year. Players don't have to wait too long to see which games take home the crowns.
Most of the nominees for The Game Awards were announced on November 17, but as usual, the Players' Voice nominees were revealed a bit later. Fans can show their support by visiting the official website and casting their votes for their favorites. Many of the most popular releases of 2025 and earlier have made the list, including megahits like ARC Raiders, Elden Ring Nightreign, Helldivers 2, and more. The category is also providing some redemption for Megabonk, as it's on the list of nominees.

The final round will feature five games, with the one that receives the most votes becoming the winner.
The developer of Megabonk has excitedly announced the game's nomination in the Players' Voice category. It's a second chance for the title, as a day after the initial 2025 Game Awards nominees were announced, the developer publically revealed that they would be withdrawing Megabonk from the competition. The dev called the initial nomination a "dream" and "honor," but said that they had actually created other games, just under other studio names, so Megabonk isn't truly a debut indie game for the dev. The dev has encouraged fans of the game to go and vote.
