Museum Educator Builds Navy’s New Zumwalt Mega-Destroyer Out of LEGO

Share

AJ Orlikoff, a Museum Educator with the Hampton Roads Naval Museum, shows visitors virtually how to build a LEGO ship model of the USS Zumwalt (DDG-1000). The ship model is one of many that visitors can build at the museum’s annual brick by brick LEGO shipbuilding day, which is held on the first Saturday of February each year in Downtown Norfolk. The museum’s LEGO program is one of several STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) based educational programs available to area schools without cost. Plans to build the LEGO ship model can be found on the museum’s website, www.hrnm.navy.mil. This segment also incorporates file footage, along with organic b-roll. (US Navy video)
