Marines with Alpha Company, Battalion Landing Team, 1st Battalion, 1st Marines, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, conduct a combat simulated mission rehearsal utilizing simulation rounds on Range CR7 in Gotemba, Japan, Jan. 17, 2018. The Marines described what it's like to train in real-life combat related situations and what tactics are necessary in order to be always prepared for deployment. As the Marine Corps' only continuously forward-deployed Marine Expeditionary Unit, the 31st MEU provides a flexible force ready to perform a wide range of military operations.
