200 Killed by Congo Arms Dump Explosion

    In a series of explosions in Brazzaville, the capital of the Republic of Congo are an estimated 200 deaths and more than a thousand people injured. This is heard in hospitals. The explosions at an ammunition depot and were probably caused by fire. On the images above Brazzaville one kilometer high plume of smoke visible fire. The Minister of Defence speaks of an accident and says that security forces are trying to extinguish the fire. According to him there is no question of a coup or mutiny. The explosions were the result of a fire.
