"The Final Year" is a new documentary about the last days of the Obama administration with a focus on foreign policy. The movie is playing in select theaters but it's also available right now from iTunes, Amazon Video and On Demand.

Director Greg Barker followed Secretary of State John Kerry, UN Ambassador Samantha Power, Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes, as well as National Security Adviser Susan Rice and President Obama himself. Filming began in late 2015 and wrapped just hours before the 2017 inauguration of President Donald Trump. The crew filmed more than 90 days in 21 countries and got a surprising amount of access from an administration known for playing things close to the vest.

We've got a clip from the film as President Obama expresses gratitude to the military as he speaks near the end of his term at the Special Operations Command in Tampa, FL.

No matter your take on the Obama presidency, the documentary demonstrates a stark contrast between how the previous administration approached foreign policy compared to the current one. The surprise and shock on everyone's faces in the scenes shot on the evening of November 8, 2016 are riveting no matter which candidate you supported in that election.
