2022 Discounts for Military Family Appreciation Month

Businesses are appreciative of all that the military does. That's why they offer discounts to military and their families throughout the month of November, which is designated as Military Family Appreciation Month.

The following is a list of discounts on goods, services and dining during Military Family Appreciation Month 2022. Please check back as the list is updated.

Keep in mind that most businesses require proof of military service. What identification do you need to prove that you're a veteran? Click here for a few common options.

Note: Not all franchise locations participate in their national chain's programs -- be sure to contact your nearest establishment to make sure they are participating.

2022 Offerings:

Akron Zoo -- Veterans, past and current, receive free admission with valid military ID, and immediate family members receive 50% off admission, November 9 through 13. To receive a Veterans Appreciation Days discount, go to the ticket counter to purchase tickets.

Brides Across America -- Brides Across America holds a wedding gown giveaway for military in partnership with bridal salons across the country in November. Qualifying brides register to attend the event at a participating bridal salon by completing the registration form. There is a $75 tax-deductible donation required when registering for the event. Attend the event and select one of the designated gowns on display. Visit the Brides Across America website for more details.

Montgomery Zoo -- Veterans, active-duty military personnel, and their dependent family members receive a 50% discount on regular daytime admission to the Montgomery Zoo and Mann Wildlife Learning Museum, November 6 through 12.

Monticello -- Veterans get complimentary admission November 11 through 13.

North Carolina Zoo -- Military personnel, veterans and one accompanying guest get free admission November 7 through 13.

San Antonio Zoo -- Active-duty, retired, veteran members of the military, National Guard and Reserves get free admission throughout November. Plus, up to four immediate family members can receive 50% off single day tickets on date of visit.


2021 Offerings:

9/11 Memorial and Museum -- Veterans receive free Museum admission from November 11 through 14, with up to three guests at a 50% discount. Family of active-duty military will also receive the discount.

Academy Sports + Outdoors -- Veterans, active-duty and reserve service members and their immediate family members get 10% off their entire purchase both in-store and online from October 24 through November 15.

Adventure Aquarium -- Active-duty military and veterans get free aquarium admission November 11 through 21. Advance online ticket purchase and a reservation are required.

Bed Bath & Beyond -- Veterans, active duty, and military spouses get 25% off their entire purchase online or in-store November 11 to 13.

Brakes To Go -- Veterans and active-duty service members get 10% off their brake repair service for the entire month of November with a valid military/veterans ID or VA benefits card.

Caesars Entertainment -- Veterans and active-duty military get 35% off room rates when reserving your stay from November 4 through 14 for travel through 2022.

California Pizza Kitchen  Veterans and active military get a complimentary entree and beverage when they dine in and show proof of service on November 11. In addition, all veterans who dine with California Pizza Kitchen will receive a BOGO, redeemable from November 12 through 20.

Colonial Williamsburg -- For the entire Veterans Day Weekend, November 11 through 14, active-duty military, Reservists, retirees, veterans, National Guardsmen and their immediate dependents get free admission. 

Crunch Fitness -- Veterans, active-duty military, and their families get a free week of gym membership from November 8 through 14 at 187 participating gyms across the country. Guests will also have the opportunity to join Crunch with a specially reduced $1 enrollment fee and receive their first month free.

Dollar General -- Veterans, active-duty military and their families get a 20% discount on in-store and online purchases on November 11 through 14.

Eat'n Park -- All former and current military personnel and their families will receive a 10% discount for the entire month of November. Dine-in only.

Everyday California -- Active duty, retired military personnel, and their families get free gear and water sport rentals including kayak, snorkel, surfboard, and stand-up paddleboard for up to two hours, the entire week of Veterans Day (November 8 through 12). Plus, get 20% off in-store and online on November 11 with code VETERAN.

GM -- GM offers special savings for the military November 2 through 30

La Quinta by Wyndham -- Eligible military members get 12% off the Best Available Rate at participating La Quinta by Wyndham hotels. Plus, Wyndham Rewards members receive 500 bonus points for qualified stays booked by December 12 and completed by December 13, 2021.

LEGOLAND Florida – From November 1 through 20, active-duty military and veterans receive free admission and can purchase theme park tickets for up to six guests at a 60% discount on the same dates. They can also upgrade their visit to include a stay at the LEGOLAND Florida Resort and save up to 25% on select dates during the month of November. 

Knott's Berry Farm -- Active-duty military and veterans receive discounted admission for themselves and up to five guests from November 1 through November 18 and November 29 through December 16. Tickets can be purchased online or at the Knott’s Berry Farm ticket booths.

Kohl’s -- Veterans, active and former military personnel, and their immediate families get 30% off in-store purchases from November 11 through 14.

Lovesac -- Active and retired service members and their registered dependents get 20% off online after verification. Apply for your Heroes discount code before November 14, then redeem your code by November 21.

Museum of the Bible -- Active-duty service members and veterans, as well as their spouses and children, get free admission November 11 through 18. Present your identification card at the ticketing counter.

Natural History Museum of Utah -- Former members of the military, plus one additional guest each, receive free admission on November 11 through 14.

National WWI Museum and Memorial -- Admission is free for veterans and active-duty military personnel November 11 through 14.

Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden -- Active-duty, retired and veteran members of the military, National Guard and Reserves get free general admission for the entire month of November, plus 50% off general admission for up to four immediate family members.

QALO -- Veterans and active-duty military get a free ring from the U.S Military Collection throughout the month of November.

Red Robin – Veterans and active-duty military who are Red Robin Royalty members can redeem a free Red's Tavern Double Burger with Bottomless Steak Fries November 1 through November 14 for dine-in or to-go. You must register for Red Robin's Royalty Program with military designation by Monday, November 1.

Sleep Number -- Military and veteran families receive 20% off all smart beds, all adjustable bases and most bedding with promo code November 2 to November 22.

Staples -- Active-duty military personnel, reservists, retired or disabled veterans and their immediate families get a 25% discount November 7 through 13.

Super 8 by Wyndham -- Active and retired military members, veterans and their families can enjoy 15% off the Best Available Rate at participating Super 8 by Wyndham hotels. Plus, Wyndham Rewards members receive 500 bonus points for qualified stays booked by December 12 and completed by December 13, 2021.

Target -- Target is offering a 10% discount from October 31 through November 13 to active-duty military personnel, veterans and their families. The discount can be used on two separate transactions and applies to all in-basket items, online and in-store.

Texas de Brazil -- Veterans receive 25% off dinner November 8 through 11 during dinner hours. Dine-in only. Reservations highly recommended.

Walgreens -- On November 11 through 14, veterans, active-duty military and their families receive 20% off regular price eligible store items at any Walgreens or Duane Reade drugstore nationwide.

Willy's Mexicana Grill -- Active-duty and prior military get 20% off your meal through November 30. In-store only.

World of Coca-Cola -- Active duty, reserves and retirees get free admission year-round, and from November 5 to 14 members of the Armed Forces may purchase up to four general admission tickets at half-price for their friends and family. Purchase tickets online.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts -- Active and retired military members, veterans, and their families save up to 15%, plus receive 500 Wyndham Rewards bonus points for qualified stays booked by December 12 and completed by December 13.
