Belleville’s Tactical Research QRF Series Alpha C9 Hot Weather Assault Boot is designed to meet Army AR 670-1 standards for wear with the service’s Operational Camouflage Pattern.
The nine-inch Alpha C9 Hot Weather Assault Boot comes in coyote brown, the color the Army chose for wear with the new OCP uniform it selected in 2014. The Army will officially retire its Universal Camouflage Pattern and desert tan boots next summer.
“The QRF Series of boots offer a unique and purposeful option for when movement is essential,” according to Optactical.com. “With design and performance influences from the outdoor trekking and approach shoe category, the QRF Series integrates an aggressive, lace-to-toe closure system, a medial side rappelling overlay and low profile soling system to enhance performance in multiple environments.”
They feature an upper of smooth, full-grain cattlehide leather and Destination P mesh. The midsole is highly cushioned to absorb shock.
The insole is an OrthoLite high performance removable insert, a dual density molded insert with high rebound memory foam and heel cup stabilizer.
The Alpha C9 Hot Weather Assault Boot retails at Optactical.com for $124.99.
