PILOTS SKITTISH ABOUT SEE-IN-THE-DARK SPECS
Ground troops love night vision goggles, StrategyPage says. Pilots do not.
"Resolution and visual acuity, depth perception, and field of view are reduced" when wearing the 'see-in-the-dark' gadgets, according to StrategyPage. The $12,000 goggles "provide a dangerous illusion of what the wearer is actually seeing."
