He now covers veteran and military hero stories, veteran jobs and business, and Military.com's fitness channel. His writing has appeared in more than 50 publications including: The San Francisco Chronicle, The Pasadena Star News, Sierra Madre News, San Francisco Magazine, Indiana Review, and others. He is a Marine Corps veteran who served during the Gulf War as a plane captain on the AV8B Harrier.
