About Drew F. Lawrence
Drew F. Lawrence was a reporter for Military.com, specializing in covering the Marine Corps. He hosted, wrote and produced the publication's flagship podcast, Fire Watch, a program that told impactful culture and accountability stories about service members, veterans and their families.
He is an Army veteran with experience covering crime, personnel welfare, extremism and ground operations as a journalist. He was named one of the top military veteran reporters in 2022 by Military Veterans in Journalism. He was part of a Military.com team that received the 2023 Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation award for distinguished reporting on national defense and was awarded Best Podcast episode by Military Reporters & Editors in 2024.
He is a graduate of George Washington University's School of Media and Public Affairs, where he studied journalism. Previously, he worked as a fellow with CNN and as a freelance reporter for various outlets.
He hails from Massachusetts and is a proud New England sports fan.
