More On Tyndall Air Force Base

Vice President Mike Pence gave no timeline for when evacuated military families could return to Tyndall Air Force Base.

Sen. Rubio is urging the U.S. Air Force to repair and restore the F-22s damaged during Hurricane Michael as soon as possible.

Many families face a permanent change of station in the years it will take the base to recover from hurricane damage.

"There is no power, water or sewer service to the base at this time."

It is rumored that anywhere from seven to 17 aircraft may have been damaged by the Category 4 storm.

Aircraft were left behind in hangars due to maintenance or safety reasons, and all of those hangars have been damaged.

About 600 military families must find alternative housing until repairs can be made at the base.
