Starting in 2019, TRICARE users will no longer be able to switch between coverage plans at will or only because of a pregnancy, according to new rules issued by the agency late last year. Users will be able to switch only during the annual open enrollment period or when experiencing a “qualifying life event.” Those events could include the birth of a child, a move — on orders or otherwise — or a deployment.
