Veterans might want to think twice when choosing a city to live in, and then think again before buying a home, according to separate surveys recently conducted by private firms. Tampa, Florida, was rated No. 1 for veterans among 100 cities nationwide on the basis of affordability, access to Department of Veterans Affairs facilities and other factors, according to the 2019 Best & Worst Places for Veterans to Live survey by the personal finance website WalletHub.
