The Marine Corps is eliminating one job specialty for officers.The military occupational specialty 3450, or Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution Officer, is being phased out, according to a Marine Corps administrative message. According to the message, the MOS currently has “negligible” billet structure in Marine Corps tables of organization and is not used in the officer assignment slating process. No date was provided for the elimination of the MOS; officials are still determining how to address existing records and systems built to accommodate it. Read more at Marines.mil.
