Emdom USA now makes a new pistol magazine pouch that's designed for amphibious combat operations.

The Emdom Amphibious Pistol Mag Pouch will carry a standard-size Glock magazine and features a special rigid flap that "stays open when inserting or extracting magazines while under water," according to Emdom's website.

The "3D Cover flap provides full coverage of magazine to keep out debris such as dirt and mud," the website states. "This cover flap is also designed to prevent snagging of the magazine on maritime hazards such as netting."

Instead of a traditional plastic buckle, the cover flap is secured with a flat streamlined length of webbing with a rigid tab that tucks into a slot. There is also loop Velcro on the interior side of the back panel to allow the cover flap to be secured if the user prefers to keep the pouch open.

There is a drainage hole at the bottom of the pouch and no metal hardware that potentially can rust, the website states.

The new pouch measures 5.5 inches by 2 inches by 1.25 inches. It retails $32 each and comes in MultiCam, black, coyote, gray and Ranger green.
