“The 2006 Election Center offers the veteran community information designed to suit their 2006 election needs,” said Ward Carroll, Editor of  “With more than 50 veteran candidates running for office this year, the stakes for veterans are higher than ever.  The Election Center will detail the issues directly impacting military personnel without bias and in so doing will allow them to make informed decisions at the polls.”

"This will be a crucial election for all Americans, and military members and the veteran community in particular have a large stake in many of the issues being discussed on the campaign trail, including health care, preparedness, and the future of the VA, just to name a few,” said Tammy Duckworth, candidate for Congress, IL-6 (Iraq veteran & Major, Illinois National Guard). “'s Election Center will be a valuable resource helping this community remain up-to-date on these issues and allowing them to make their voices heard on Election Day."

In addition to candidate and issues information, the 2006 Election Center allows users to register to vote, comment on issues or express opinions; participate in polls and view results, and contact candidates and government representatives.

“The Election center was born of a need to inform veterans of issues specifically affecting them,” Carroll added.  “The 2006 election could have a huge impact on the veteran’s voice in Congress, and, as always, is there to effectively support those who’ve served the nation.”
