Members of the Florida Army National Guard are now graduating from a program designed to teach air defenders how to properly integrate systems such as Patriot Surface-to-Air Missiles and THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) within their existing command, according to a recent service news release. The product of growing challenges to air defense units, the Patriot training program ensures that multiple weapons platforms such as the Avenger Air Defense System, Patriot and THAAD can all be streamlined under a single command. Soldiers from the 164th Air Defense Artillery Brigade who recently graduated from the training will soon be mobilized in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve. Read more at Army.mil.
