The death of a soldier at Fort Bragg earlier this week is under investigation, officials said Thursday.
Pvt. Jamie Wyatt Boger of Ohio was found unresponsive in his barracks room Monday, according to a news release.
The cause of his death is being investigated by the Fort Bragg Criminal Investigation Division.
Boger was a student of the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School.
Boger enlisted in the Army on March 12, 2019, as an X-ray Special Forces candidate. He completed infantry training with the 2nd Battalion, 58th Infantry Regiment, at Fort Benning, Georgia.
In August, he reported to the Special Warfare Center and School as a student as part of Charlie Company, 4th Battalion, 1st Special Warfare Training Group, officials said.
He was assigned to the Special Warfare Medical Group in October for medical rehabilitation of a training injury, officials said.
