Veteran caregivers are now among the group of military community members who can get a free, one year LinkedIn Premium subscription.

Spouses, service members and veterans already have access to the subscription, which typically costs $29.99 monthly and $299.88 annually. But a new partnership between the Elizabeth Dole Foundation, LinkedIn and the Department of Veterans Affairs extends that benefit to caregivers registered with the Elizabeth Dole Foundation’s Hidden Heroes Community.

Beyond the opportunity for networking as part of employment or professional development, LinkedIn gives members the opportunity to build social capital, follow and learn from leaders, develop connections and stay up-to-date on topics of interest.

LinkedIn Premium also offers access to free training and courses specific to military transition, ability to see who has viewed your profile and a tool that allows users to compare themselves with other job candidates.

To register the free membership, caregivers must first be registered with the Hidden Heroes Caregiver Community.

After registering they can email info@elizabethdolefoundation.org with “LinkedIn Premium for Caregivers” in the subject line and your first and last name and preferred email address in the body. Once verified, registrants will receive an email with detailed instructions on how to access the subscription.
